Browns Potential SuperBowl Winner?

Into Week 9 we preview Browns potential SuperBowl winner odds. The Cleveland Browns finished last season with a 7-8-1 record last season. This was good for a third place finish in the AFC North. Also, impressive for the team. For the reason they had won only two total games in the two seasons before. However, this does not look to be a rebound year.

Baker Mayfield, who was selected with the first pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, started the season as the backup quarterback. However, soon took over the starting job after Tyrod Taylor. Taylor, who was inconsistent, went down with an injury.

Mayfield helped turn things around for the Browns. Baker almost led the team to the playoffs. With the young players on the team showing a lot of promise, the Browns could have decided to wait it out and see how they progress this season. However, they decided to follow the Los Angeles Rams blueprint from last season. The team acquired a few players they think can help them get back into the playoffs and make a Super Bowl run.

The Browns kicked off the offseason with a splash, trading for former New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. who was reunited with his former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry, whom the Browns acquired last offseason.

Cleveland also signed former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, who led the league with 824 yards and seven touchdowns before getting suspended for the final five games of the season.

Nick Chubb, who ran for 996 yards and eight touchdowns despite having only 16 carries through the first six games, is also expected to improve this season, which should give the Browns one of the most talented offenses in the league, at least on paper.

Defensively, Cleveland also got better. Drafting former LSU cornerback Greedy Williams in the second round of the draft. Also, acquired Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson to beef up their defensive line. The Browns have a lot of talent on their team going into the next season. It will be interesting to see if they live up to the hype, for instance. Their odds to win the Super Bowl is +1200. These odds will change after Week 9.
