Betting on New York Jets Superbowl 55

After the Kentucky Derby we get the start of the NFL season. Today, we review betting on New York Jets Superbowl 55 odds. The New York Jets went into last season with high expectations. However, finished with a 7-9 record because they had one of the worst offenses in the league. This year, they are hoping to bounce back and win the AFC East. However, the sportsbooks don’t feel the same way. Giving the Jets +12500 odds to win the Super Bowl.

The Jets acquired Le’Veon Bell from the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, hoping the versatile back can help them move the chains and keep opposing defenses off their feet. However, Bell struggled last season, finishing with 789 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

To improve their running game and protect their quarterback, the Jets signed Connor McGovern, George Fant, Alex Lewis, and Josh Andrews. They also signed veteran running back Frank Gore to help share some of the load with Bell. Will this help? Probably not.

2021 Odds for Betting on New York Jets Superbowl 55 Lines

Defensively, the Jets lost one of their best players in Jamal Adams, who was traded to the Seattle Seahawks after voicing his displeasure with the team. They will also be without linebacker C.J. Mosley, who has opted out of the 2020 season because of the coronavirus.

The biggest issue the Jets have going into the season is the infighting that is apparently going on in their locker room. Surprised? The Jets will not be the 2021 Super Bowl winner based on this. The Adams episode was just one of the rumors about unrest in their locker room. There have been other reports of players not buying into head coach Adam Gase’s system. This isn’t something you want to hear on the eve of a new season.

Verdict:
The Jets have a lot of issues to work out between their players and coaches and will have a hard time competing with the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots in the division. At this point, the Miami Dolphins, who won only five games last season despite not having as much talent as the Jets, look like a better team than the Jets, so expect them to finish at the bottom of the AFC East.
